Percentage, fractions and decimals

Students learn that percentages, fractions and decimals are three names for the same amount (WA6MNAUN5). Starting from the meaning of per cent as a ratio out of 100, they use hundred grids and a triple number line to connect the benchmarks 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% to their fraction and decimal forms, convert between all three notations, order mixed sets, and apply the ideas to shopping discounts, including why the size of the whole matters when comparing percentages of different wholes.
