Percentages, fractions and decimals are THREE NAMES for the SAME AMOUNT.
Per cent comes from Latin: per centum — "for every hundred". The % symbol shows a ratio out of 100.
So 25% is secretly the fraction 25/100… and 25 hundredths is exactly what the decimal 0.25 says.
