Make a Times-Table Fan (Foldable)

A make-it foldable times-table fan for C3. Students cut out strips for each times table (2s-10s), stack and fasten them into a fan they can flip through to practise. Includes teacher notes and a how-to-make guide. Printable.

"Make your own flip-fan to practise your facts!" says Pip. Cut out each strip, stack them in order, and join them at the dot with a split-pin or piece of string.

Cut out these strips (one per times table)

Cut along the dashes. Add your own strips for the 6×, 7× and 9× tables on the back!

How to use your fan

1. Flip to the 8× strip. Cover it and say the 8 times table from memory. Then check.

2. Partner game: your partner points to a spot (e.g. the 7th number on the 4× strip). You say the fact (4 × 7 = 28).
