Partitioning, ordering and odd/even numbers
"Numbers can be grouped lots of ways," says Biscuit, "and every number is either odd or even — just check the last digit!"
1. Partition each number the standard way (thousands + hundreds + tens + ones).

2. Show a different way to partition 3 240.
3. Order from smallest to largest: 4 050, 4 500, 405, 4 005.
4. Circle the even numbers: 318 547 2 000 1 235 6 074
5. Biscuit pairs up his gumnuts. With 14 gumnuts, are any left unpaired? Is 14 odd or even?
6. Challenge: Write the largest even number and the smallest odd number using the digits 5, 2, 8, 1 once each.
