Use spoken rehearsal and discussion to build the report and review the unit aloud.
Say the report before writing it
Students "tell the story" of their investigation aloud to a partner in order — question, what they did, what they found, what it means — before drafting. Speaking the four parts in sequence produces a clearer written report and surfaces a missing section early.
Conclusion sentence frame, spoken
Rehearse the evidence-based conclusion aloud: "The results show ___, which means ___. This matched / did not match my prediction." Hearing "the results show" said aloud keeps conclusions evidence-based, not opinion.
Teach-back the big ideas
Each student teaches one of the four big ideas to a partner in 30 seconds, with one key word and one example. Explaining aloud is the strongest revision.
