Support aural learners to talk their plan into shape before committing it to paper.
Talk it through, then write it
Aural planners rehearse their whole plan aloud to a partner using the fixed frame: "I will change ___, measure ___, and keep ___ the same. I predict ___ because ___." Saying it first surfaces gaps (a missing control, a prediction with no reason) before writing.
Use the approval checkpoint as a spoken viva
The "approve before testing" step is ideal for aural learners — they explain their fair test to you verbally and you probe with questions ("what would make that unfair?"). Their spoken answers help them refine the written plan, which they then complete themselves.
