Narrate the journey of the energy
Students tell the "story of the energy" aloud, in order: "The energy starts at the cell, is transferred along the wires, and is transformed into light at the globe." Saying transfer and transformation in the right places trains the vocabulary the success criteria target.
Component job round-robin
Go round the group: each student names one component and its job in a sentence — "the switch opens and closes the loop", "the wires carry the current". Hearing all four jobs spoken builds the set.
Explain your working circuit
When a pair demonstrates their lit globe, they must narrate why it works: "It lights because the loop is complete, and the energy is transformed into light here." The spoken explanation is the checkpoint, not just the lit globe.
