A kinaesthetic route into Dual Power for students who learn by doing and moving.
Simulation: two governments, one room
Divide the room physically. One side is the Provisional Government, the other the Petrograd Soviet. Give each side a deck of "decision cards" (continue the war? redistribute land? call elections?). The catch: the Provisional Government holds the formal authority cards, but only the Soviet holds the "soldiers will obey" card (Order No. 1). Students quickly feel the deadlock — the body with the authority can't enforce anything without the body that holds the loyalty.
Human timeline
Give nine students a card each for the events of 23 February–2 March. They physically arrange themselves into the correct order along a wall, then each reads their event aloud in sequence. The garrison-mutiny student steps forward to mark the point of no return.
