Task 5 – Source Analysis: The Struggle for Peace in the Middle East

Task

Source analysis (Task 5). An in-class source analysis (10 minutes reading, 35 minutes working) using a booklet of three sources. Topic: a significant event in the struggle for peace, such as the Six-Day War (1967). Students identify message, origin, purpose and context, and evaluate reliability and usefulness. Official SCSA weighting: 10% of the school mark for the Unit 3–4 pair (Source analysis type weighting 20%).
